The Ascott Limited honoured with duo of top titles at World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards

Hospitality brand The Ascott Limited has been honoured with the title of World’s Leading Sustainable Accessibility & Inclusion Initiative 2025 by voters at the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards (WSTHA). At the same time, Beh Siew Kim, Managing Director, Japan & Korea, The Ascott Limited, was recognised as World’s Leading Sustainability Leader 2025.
The prizes were revealed in front of hundreds of global leaders of sustainable tourism gathered in Dubai for the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards 2025. The VIP ceremony was held at Terra, Expo City Dubai and recognised the individuals and organisations that are accelerating change in net positive tourism.

Beh Siew Kim has aligned sustainability and profitability through the launch of Ascott CARES. Under her leadership, Ascott became one of the first hospitality groups to earn GSTC-Committed Status, with over 20 per cent of its portfolio certified and a 100 per cent target by 2028. She forged key partnerships with GSTC and SG Enable, promoting capacity-building and disability inclusion.
“It is an incredible honour for Ascott and I to be recognised at the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards. These accolades reflect our teams’ dedication worldwide to advancing sustainable and inclusive hospitality through Ascott CARES, our sustainability framework. From reducing environmental impact to championing disability inclusion, sustainability is at the heart of how we operate and grow. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to creating positive impact across our properties, communities and the industry, strengthening our resolve to shape a regenerative future of travel that benefits both people and planet,” said Beh Siew Kim, Chief Financial and Sustainability Officer, Lodging, CapitaLand Investment and Managing Director, Japan & Korea, The Ascott Limited.

Siew Kim ensures every team is engaged through global meetings, in-house training, and the Sustainability 101 programme—reaching 15,000+ staff. Her influence extends to board roles and industry committees, advancing national and regional ESG goals. Grounded in Ascott CARES’ five pillars, she balances rigorous sustainability frameworks with local relevance and social inclusion. Her work not only transforms Ascott, but also sets a scalable model for sustainability integration across global operations.

WSTHA is run in partnership with the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, whose partners and members represent over 66,000 hotels, eight million rooms globally, 300 brands, and over 100 supply chain and strategic partners.
Glenn Mandziuk, President & Chief Executive Officer, World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, said: “We extend our congratulations to The Ascott Limited on being honoured multiple times this year.
