A new F&B team is reshaping the culinary experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert.
This project comes under the leadership of Nicholas Murcott, Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage, and is guided by the vision of the property’s General Manager, Aidan Dempsey. Their combined direction has brought together a solid team with great global expertise.
Executive Chef Rick Gonzalez oversees the property’s wider culinary team. His international experience spans across Six Senses, Amanzoe Greece, Address Boulevard Dubai, and Rosewood’s Las Ventanas al Paraiso. Known for his commitment to sustainability and wellness-driven cuisine, Rick has spearheaded initiatives such as on-site permaculture farms, mushroom cultivation, and the creation of local, seasonal menus which supports the culinary direction of
Farmhouse by Syrco – aligning it with the property’s overall ethos of thoughtful, responsible dining.
At the helm of Farmhouse by Syrco restaurant’s day-to-day kitchen operations is Head Chef Florian van Dillen, a passionate young chef whose career spans several Michelin-starred kitchens in Europe. With a background rooted in discipline and creativity, Florian brings a fresh and modern perspective to this new chapter.
The Farmhouse by Syrco General Manager is Robin Holthaus, a seasoned operator known for pre-opening and managing high-profile concepts across the UAE, including Katsuya by Starck and Gonpachi Dubai. Most recently, he oversaw six venues and a catering division under RAK Hospitality, including the award-winning 1484 by Puro at Jebel Jais.
