MotoGP Valencia Finale to Draw 150,000 Fans and Generate €35.9 Million in Tourism Impact

As the 2025 MotoGP Championship races toward its thrilling conclusion at the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana, Mabrian and The Data Appeal Company – Almawave Group have analysed the expected tourism impact of the final weekend of the championship, to be held at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Cheste, near Valencia (Spain). The analysis estimates a tourism-related economic impact of €35.9 million for Valencian Community region.

As with other major motorsport events, the MotoGP competition extends over three days, in this case from Friday, November 14th to Sunday, November 16th, featuring Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and the main races. This extended schedule significantly increases the potential for a greater economic tourism impact in the destination considering that, according to this predictive analysis, over 150,000 people will attend the events scheduled around the final MotoGP race.

The projected impact reflects the distribution of additional tourism spending expected in Valencian Community during the Grand Prix weekend. Estimates are based on projected expenditures for accommodation, dining, and transportation. Mabrian and The Data Appeal Company forecast does not include other economic impacts, such as ticket sales, sponsorships, advertising, and related revenues.

Of the total €35.9 million total tourism-related economic impact expected in Valencian Community throughout the MotoGP weekend, accommodation will account for around 70%, followed by food and beverage at 25% and transportation at 5%. This represents €25.1 million in hospitality spending (including hotels, vacation rentals, and other accommodation options), €8.9 million in food and beverage, and €1.9 million in transportation.

Hotel Prices in Valencia to Climb 18% During MotoGP Week
As the tourism spending forecast indicates, accommodation will account for the largest share of visitor expenditure during the MotoGP Grand Prix. In fact, Mabrian’s data on year-over-year variations in hotel prices in Valencia show an average increase of +18% during the Grand Prix Finale weekend.

As Mirko Lalli, CEO at The Data Appeal Company – Almawave Group explains “unlike many events where food & beverage concentrates most of the spend, MotoGP in Valencia skews decisively toward accommodation the strongest price uplift is in 5-star hotels. That could be interpreted as the signature of a high-spender audience: with the right capacity, premium experiences and pricing strategies, destinations can convert this surge into longer-lasting value.”

By category, 3-star hotels are forecast to increase by +20% year-over-year (reaching €150 per night), 4-star hotels by +12.7% (€177 per night), and 5-star properties by +23.1%, reaching €304 per night.

“Many MotoGP fans choose Valencia — located just 24 kilometres from the Ricardo Tormo Circuit — not only as a place to stay, but also to enjoy everything this vibrant city has to offer,” says Carlos Cendra, Partner and Director of Marketing and Communications at Mabrian. “Moreover, the fact that the Valencian Community Grand Prix is the final race of the 2025 championship makes this last stop even more appealing, further amplifying the tourism footprint in the destination.”

* Predicted Event Spending measures the expected tourism economic impact of a given event within a destination. It is calculated based on projected attendance, venue capacity, and historical data. This metric provides a directional estimate of the value of scheduled events, broken down in three key categories: Hospitality (including hotels, vacation rentals, and other accommodations), Food & Beverage (such as standalone or hotel-based restaurants, bars, and cafés), and Transportation (ground-based public and private services such as buses, taxis, trains, etc.).
