Luxury icon Four Seasons Hotel George, V, Paris has been recognised with the title of World’s Leading Sustainable Supply Chain Programme 2025 by voters at the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards (WSTHA).
The prize was revealed in front of hundreds of global leaders of sustainable tourism gathered in Dubai for the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards 2025. The VIP ceremony was held at Terra, Expo City Dubai and recognised the individuals and organisations that are accelerating change in net positive tourism.
Over the last few years, Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has completely reimagined its supply chain model, integrating responsible sourcing, waste reduction and ethical partnerships into every aspect of its operations. Through this award, the hotel demonstrates that true luxury can go hand in hand with excellence, social responsibility, and a deep commitment to the planet.
“This award is a tribute to the unwavering commitment of our teams, who work every day to redefine the standards of luxury hospitality through a sustainable and responsible model. Thanks to their passion, determination and creativity, we continue to demonstrate that exceptional hospitality and a deep commitment to sustainability can truly go hand in hand,” explained Thibaut Drege, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris.
The WSTHA distinction recognises a series of ambitious initiatives that reflect the hotel’s deep and ongoing commitment to sustainability. Among these, the hotel has introduced a responsible purchasing charter integrating stringent environmental and social criteria into all its procurement processes. The charter spans 14 categories of products and services, ranging from office supplies to technological equipment, emphasising certified materials (Ecolabel, FSC, GOTS), local sourcing, waste reduction and circular economy principles. Since its launch, 66 per cent of suppliers have embraced the charter’s principles. Today, more than 81 percent of supplies and packaging are eco-certified, and 100 per cent of wood-based products are sourced from FSC or PEFC-certified origins.
WSTHA is run in partnership with the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, whose partners and members represent over 66,000 hotels, eight million rooms globally, 300 brands, and over 100 supply chain and strategic partners.
