Pride in Catalonia reflects a long-standing commitment to LGBTI+ rights and freedom of expression. Historically a pioneer in the fight for civil rights, Catalonia continues to lead with strong institutional and public support for the LGBTQ+ community. This year’s theme, “La llibertat de ser” (“The Freedom to Be”), focuses on trans rights, intergenerational activism, and inclusive urban spaces.
The festivities include concerts, talks, art exhibitions, a family-friendly village, and culminate in a massive parade along Avinguda Maria Cristina on June 28.But the celebration of diversity extends beyond the capital. Towns and cities across the region, such as Sitges, Tarragona, Girona, Lloret de Mar, and Terres de l’Ebre, also host Pride events, underlining Catalonia’s widespread and inclusive embrace of equality.
