After all, you can’t magically make a desert appear in Iceland or a tropical beach in the centre of London. What you can do, however, is set yourself up for success!
By visiting some of these amazing locations, which quite frankly, do A lot of the work for you, too. Honestly, it’s pretty hard to take a bad photo in these places that are so gorgeous and totally incredible.

1.) Iceland
Gotta start with an easy favourite; Iceland! It’s easily one of the best places to travel for epic photos and totally amazing to explore.
On top of that, you’ve got a heap of the best places in Iceland where you can really flex your skills in taking those pics. Just make sure to head out onto some of the epic hikes, see the cutest little towns and take a dip (with a waterproof camera) in the Blue Lagoon.

2.) Maldives
The island nation of the Maldives is totally unique and one of the best places to travel for epic photos. This is especially true if you want to focus on underwater photography, too.
You see, the islands are stunning and there are so many incredible places to explore. Seriously, it’s such an explosion of colour here. Even the wildlife in the sea is colourful here.

3.) Greek Islands
Easily, the Greek islands are totally incredible and the best places to travel for epic photos. This is totally the case as the islands all have their different charm and looks, too.
You see, you’ve got the stunning islands like Kefalonia (which have the most amazing seas and caves), whilst you have other islands like Rhodes that has so much cultural history, too.
That being said, there’s a heap of the big-hitting islands like Mykonos and Santorini that are also well worth experiencing and photographing.
For instance, the sunsets here are famed all over Santorini (Especially in Oia), as are the colourfully cascading houses dotted across the island. It’s well worth heading here at sunset.

4.) Cinque Terre, Italy
Cinque Terre is hand-down one of the most beautiful places in Italy that are perfect.
Even Italians are proud of and impressed by the beauty of these five little towns by the Ligurian sea.
Oh, and this is not just some random claim, we had the opportunity on our road trip to show our Italian friend Cinque Terre for the first time and he was blown away by it.

5.) Thailand
This one was one of the biggest and best surprises of the lot. Obviously, you’ve got the stunning Phi Phi Islands but then you’ve also got cities like Bangkok that have thousands of years of history around the city and wider region.
It really is one of the best places to travel for epic photos.

6.) Monument Valley, USA
Perched in the state of Arizona, Monument Valley is easily one of the best places to travel for epic photos. Seriously, everywhere you turn to here is another reason to pick your jaw up from the floor in utter amazement.
Make sure to rent a car, explore the wider reserve and see these iconic structures that photograph so well.

7.) Norwegian Fjords
The Norwegian Fjords are totally stunning and so worthy visiting for the best places to travel for epic photos.
They’re such a brilliant natural sight to see and are more than enough reason to keep returning to Norway. Make sure to spend some time driving and exploring the fjords and really embrace this incredible area of Norway.

8.) London
Okay, we’re a little biased here but London does take a pretty picture! It’s an incredible city to explore with some many stunning areas of London to see and photograph.
The fact that it has almost 2,000 years of history just waiting to be explored (and indeed, photographed) doesn’t hurt either. It really is one of the best places to travel for epic photos.

9.) Sri Lanka
This has been one of the latest finds and a rather pleasant discovery this year!
Sri Lanka has a surprising amount of UNESCO World Heritage sites, a beautifully expansive countryside and rather colourful cultures. It’s a place that might not often pop into people’s minds but truly should.

10.) Morocco
Morocco is colourful, exciting and frenetic in equal measure. This makes it one of the best places to travel for epic photos.
It’s also very regal in a lot of ways (visit the old palaces for a prime example of this) and the city of Marrakesh is one of the best places to visit to experience this.
Of course, outside of Marrakesh, there are other places like the Atlas Mountains and the desserts which show you how truly diverse and absolutely stunning the country is.

11.) South Africa
The scenery here is as diverse as the country is large. It’s honestly one of the best places to travel for epic photos.
Almost every stop in South Africa is a brilliant photo opportunity, whether that’s animal watching on safari, city exploring in Cape Town or road-tripping across the Garden Route.
South Africa is a photographer and indeed a traveller’s dream.
